Job Description

We're seeking a driven communications professional to join our External Communications team as Senior Manager, Media Relations and Issues Management. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing company-wide media relations for the Media Relations Centre of Excellence. Your expertise in building media relationships, company storytelling, and managing high-volume media inquiries will drive positive earned media coverage across traditional, digital, and social channels.

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive positive earned media coverage for Rogers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, business leaders, and internal teams.
  • Monitor media outlets, understand industry issues, competitor activity, and analyze media coverage to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 7+ years' experience in corporate communications, with a strong understanding of the media landscape.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with attention to detail.
  • A results-driven, creative, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and other communications tools.
