Job Summary

At Northern Health Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Operating Room department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of medical and surgical supplies and instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a series of detailed technical duties related to the decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, function testing, and distribution of medical and/or surgical supplies and instruments.
• Maintain accurate records and perform related clerical duties.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Grade 12 and successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing course.
• One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong knowledge of surgical and medical terminology, mathematical aptitude, and ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Ability to operate related equipment and maintain a safe working environment.
