About the Position
The Clinic Nurse is accountable for providing harm reduction and supportive treatment modalities to patients. We are seeking a compassionate nurse who can interact with diverse clients and deliver exceptional support.
- Operate professionally within the guidelines of the Ontario College of Nurses
- Dispense and administer medications as delegated by a licensed Physician
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement treatment plans
- Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening supervision and testing
- Administer injections and ensure proper documentation
- Communicate with Physicians regarding patient needs and medical abnormalities
- Provide comprehensive program information to patients
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Previous experience in addiction treatment and/or similar field
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario
- Completes yearly CNO Quality Assurance certification
- Provision of a recent and acceptable Criminal Reference Check
- Phlebotomy and Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) are an asset
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification required
- Strong commitment to working with individuals living with addiction and mental health
- Ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients
- Knowledge of Harm Reduction principles and ability to work with clients experiencing addiction and mental illness
- Proficiency in using Microsoft platform, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Salary: $29.00 per hour
