About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer Leader to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise relating to electrical engineering on both maintenance and projects throughout the mine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise relating to electrical engineering on both maintenance and projects throughout the mine
  • Provide guidance and mentorship while leading direct reports (electrical engineers and technologists) to achieve department goals
  • Drive excellence in safe engineering practices by furthering project quality and thoroughness

Requirements

  • P. Eng is required
  • 8-10 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in the mining industry
  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Strong knowledge of varied electrical equipment and technical advances in the field
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical codes and technical schematics
  • Operations and Maintenance technical assistance
  • Maintenance and design of modern control systems and related IT infrastructure
  • Engineering, maintenance, project, and/or operations experience at an operating facility or heavy industrial site is considered an asset
