About the Role
As a Residential Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing various cleaning tasks, including cleaning washrooms, common areas, and floors. You will also provide cleaning services in other areas as needed, cover absences of other caretaking staff, and report building deficiencies. Additionally, you will secure the building after hours and provide efficient customer service to the university community and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks as assigned, including but not limited to cleaning washrooms, common areas, and floors.
- Provide cleaning services in other areas as required to cover absences of other caretaking staff.
- Report building deficiencies.
- Secure the building after hours.
- Provide efficient, courteous customer service to the university community and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Grade 12 diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
- A current acceptable criminal record check is required.
- Previous experience in maintenance is an asset.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
