Executive Advisor Job Description

As an Executive Advisor with the Government of Alberta, you will be working in a dynamic environment where you will be required to anticipate and respond to complex issues, manage multiple projects, and provide strategic advice to senior officials. This role involves close collaboration with departmental representatives and external stakeholders to identify and address strategically relevant issues.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee the response to action requests, briefing notes, and ongoing issues within the ministry.
  • Compile and analyze information to provide strategic advice, direction, and recommendations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff in achieving goals, mandates, and effective operation of the division.
  • Review and oversee the accuracy and compliance of ministerial information and reports.
  • Provide oversight to budgets, approval processes, and assist in executing key briefings and initiatives.
