Job Opportunity: Operations Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced team leader to join our fast-paced fast food outlet in BLACKSTAR MGMT.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing work schedules, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, supervising staff activities, training employees in job duties and safety procedures, estimating ingredient and supply requirements, ensuring quality control standards are met, preparing budgets and cost estimates, addressing customer complaints, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and submitting reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient work schedules to ensure smooth operations during peak periods.
- Requisition Food and Kitchen Supplies: Source high-quality ingredients and kitchen supplies to meet menu demands.
- Supervise Staff Activities: Monitor and direct staff performance, providing guidance and feedback to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Train Employees: Provide comprehensive training on job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Estimate Ingredient and Supply Requirements: Analyze sales data and menu trends to determine optimal ingredient and supply levels.
- Maintain Quality Control Standards: Ensure all food products meet high-quality standards, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop accurate budgets and cost estimates to inform operational decisions.
- Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly to customer concerns, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain Records: Accurately record stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
- Submit Reports: Provide regular reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
Work Environment:
The role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interactions with colleagues and customers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a noisy, odorous, wet/damp, hot, and outdoor setting.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Skills and Qualifications: Excellent oral communication skills, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a strong ability to work as part of a team.
