Job Title: Bartender

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our team at Porta Bella Restaurant & The Downstairs Bar. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain the bar area, including glassware and equipment
  • Serve food and beverages to customers, including preparing and serving cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Provide recommendations on drink and food selections to enhance the customer experience
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized bar area
  • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Enforce provincial and territorial liquor legislation and regulations
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Serving It Right Certificate
  • Criminal record check
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide exceptional customer service
