About the Opportunity

XORTX is a pharmaceutical company with two clinically advanced products in development. We are seeking a skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our team and contribute to our growth.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of financial leadership and experience in the life sciences industry. They will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies, managing cash flow, and overseeing financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned financial professional to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and assist the CEO in all external financing and capital markets activities
  2. Develop plans to meet short, medium, and long-term fiscal requirements
  3. Lead corporate level financial and operational reporting
  4. Structure internal controls and develop accounting policies
  5. Ensure quarterly and annual cash flow projections meet the changing needs of the business
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and experience in the life sciences industry. They will be a skilled communicator and team player with a proven track record of success.

The following qualifications are required:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • Proven track record of accomplishment in financial leadership
  • Strong relationships in the capital markets
  • Experience dealing with a board of directors, investors, and shareholders
