Senior Principal Researcher

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Researcher to join our team at Huawei Technologies Canada Co., Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development in core storage system technologies, focusing on emerging scenarios such as AI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore innovative industry opportunities and define generational key technologies.
- Gain insight into the development trend of AI and storage technologies, propose visions, and accurately identify customer requirements.
- Develop and lead the technology evolution direction and key paths, accurately evaluate technology maturity, and formulate a reasonable technical plan.
- Balance technology and business needs, identify breakthrough paths of key technologies, and make breakthroughs in core technologies through bold innovation.
- Focus on core scenarios and requirements of storage in the AI trend, propose technical solution ideas, and build core control points of competitiveness.
- Explore new innovation modes and methods based on forward-looking technology breakthroughs, identify high-potential talent, and provide opportunities for them to grow.
Requirements:
- Proficient command of storage system architecture, able to independently design I/O channels and manage subsystems.
- Basic command of application scenarios and key values of enterprise storage, able to quickly identify market opportunities and technical requirements.
- Understanding of AI big model technology, experience in big model training and inference, and comprehensive understanding of big model development and application.
- Rich experience in software development, able to lead the team to complete technology development and research.
- Excellent technical insight and planning capabilities, open-minded, and good communication skills.
