About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning and Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Whitecourt Labour Force. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Task Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise the cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure they are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure that we have the necessary resources to complete tasks effectively.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a cleaning and maintenance role.
  • Work Setting: Office building, cleaning service company, commercial facility, shopping centre or mall.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Working Conditions
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high expectations.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to WHMIS and First Aid certification requirements.
