Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely completion and budget adherence while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in bid processes and analyze contractual documents (drawings, directives, shop drawings, etc.)
  • Manage entire projects independently, including team personnel, manpower requirements, and problem-solving
  • Support the Superintendent in executing work and ensuring compliance with administrative processes from site opening to project closure
  • Rigorous follow-up and management of change notices, negotiation and awarding of contracts to subcontractors
  • Ensure quality of workmanship on an ongoing basis to minimize deficiencies and respond to customer choices (customizations)
  • Work with the Superintendent to maintain health and safety on the site, coordinate and conduct site meetings with subcontractors
  • Carry out administrative follow-ups (costs, claims, litigation, etc.), finalize claims and settle disputes as required
  • Prepare various profitability analyses at the end of projects, establish the overall schedule and three-week planning (P3S) and monitor progress
  • Establish and maintain necessary communications with subcontractors, professionals, and customers
  • Review project completion documents and manuals to be submitted to customers

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A construction or civil engineering degree with 5 years' experience in building residential projects (multi-units)
  • Knowledge of Dreeven software (an asset), MS Project, Office suite
  • Demonstrated leadership and autonomy
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and French

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 CAD, commensurate with experience.
