Job Title: Director of Product Innovation

Skjodt-Barrett Foods is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Product Innovation to lead our product development team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving innovation and growth through the development of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement product development strategies that align with business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the technical aspects of product development, including investigation, planning, execution, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Manage and mentor the product development team, identifying gaps in skills and working closely with individuals to build their strengths.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor effective systems and procedures to manage multiple projects in the sales and innovation pipeline.
  • Guide the team in meeting operational standards for quality, cost, food safety, and sustainability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving innovation and growth.
  • Strong technical knowledge of food science and technology, including food processing and manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
