Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Planner to join our team in Canada. As a Strategic Financial Planner, you will be responsible for providing proactive, outstanding planning and advice to clients, leveraging the IG Living Plan.

About the Role

This role offers a unique opportunity for financial planners to receive a competitive total compensation package, including base salary, bonus, benefits, and pension, while having the chance to serve existing IG clients and earn uncapped variable income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans that consider all aspects of clients' financial lives, including short-term and long-term goals, tax strategies, retirement planning, risk management, and estate planning.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen and solidify relationships with clients, ensuring regulatory guidelines are followed.
  • Support a positive client experience by focusing on servicing existing clients (85%) and growing the client base (15%).
  • Maximize efficiency and enhance service levels through the use of digital tools provided by IGWM.
  • Manage day-to-day priorities, handle inbound/outbound client contacts, execute proactive campaigns, and retention activities provided by the Marketing team.
  • Analyze data using reporting tools to identify future business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Mutual fund licensed or Securities licensed.
  • 3+ years of client-facing financial planning experience.
  • Strong relationship and sales skills, with a proven track record of financial planning excellence.
  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • LLQP and Provincial Licensing exam passed for Insurance or willingness to complete within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including CRM and Financial Planning software.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation, with the ability to interact professionally with clients in a virtual setting.
