Veterinarian - New Grads Welcome

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Upper Canada Veterinary Hospital in beautiful Niagara-on-the-Lake. As a member of our cohesive team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of cases, including soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, and digital radiography.

Our Team
We have an experienced doctor team who is eager to mentor new grads or DVMs looking to expand their knowledge in a new area. Our team is close-knit and focused on a positive culture, and we are looking for someone who values teamwork, can get along well with coworkers, and has a heart for serving our clients and their pets.
Our Benefits
We offer a competitive salary, CE allowance, licensing fees, liability and malpractice insurance, Group RRSP with company match, 100% of health insurance paid, and availability of dental and vision insurance among others. We also believe in work/life balance and offer a schedule of four-9 hour shifts.
About Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake is often described as the prettiest town in Ontario and the heart of Ontario Wine Country. We are located an hour away from Toronto and 20 minutes from the American Border. We love our wineries and have 40 local wineries in the surrounding area. If arts and culture are important to you, then you will love that we host the Shaw Festival which is the second largest repertory theatre company in North America.
Requirements
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university.
- Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
- Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills.
- Works collaboratively with hospital team members.
- Makes decisions confidently and effectively.
- Manages time and tasks appropriately.
- Models professional and courteous manner with staff and clients, supporting positive hospital culture.
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
