Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect Lead to join our team at Future Electronics. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing cloud solutions that meet business needs, focusing on Microsoft Azure technologies and services.

About the Role

This individual will work closely with senior infrastructure team members, mentor and aid in cross-training the teams cloud abilities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing Azure IaaS solutions following best practices for security, policies, standards, and automation to meet specific business needs.
  • Designing and configuring Azure VMWare Services.
  • Aiding in tracking and managing cloud spend.
  • Designing DR solutions for production cloud workloads.
  • Monitoring and reporting on DR system performance, conducting regular reviews and updates.
  • Conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical systems and data.
  • Aiding in cloud readiness activities, helping to align internal services with cloud-compatible technologies.
  • Designing and assisting in configuring and managing Azure backup solutions for all cloud services.
  • Collaborating with incident response teams to manage and mitigate disruptions or failures during disasters.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving processes and technologies based on industry trends and organizational feedback.
  • Mentoring other infrastructure team members in cloud technologies, transferring operational roles to other team members.
Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer sciences.
  • 10+ years of experience with network and systems administration, focusing on Azure cloud solutions.
  • Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and execution in Azure environments.
  • A strong understanding of Azure services and close Azure partners, such as Azure VMWare Services.
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and compliance considerations in disaster recovery.
  • Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • An ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong networking skills.
  • Scripting languages (VBScript, PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience with installing and/or managing Linux is a plus.
