About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Postgraduate Program Coordinator - Scheduling Expert at The University of British Columbia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational management for scheduling and advising residents in the Postgraduate Education Program in the Department of Medicine's Internal Medicine Training Program.

About the Job:
The Postgraduate Program Coordinator - Scheduling Expert will be responsible for managing the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the master rotation schedule, including scheduling assignments of PGY 1-4 Medical Residents to 9 major affiliated teaching sites within 70+ rotations. This involves independently scheduling 2400+ rotations with an extremely high level of complexity and making final decisions on rotation changes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising and negotiating with faculty, UBC departments, hospital personnel, and residents regarding policies, rotations, and schedules, and managing and resolving any unusual scheduling issues as warranted.
About You:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the relationships between teaching hospitals, regional/community sites, and the Faculty of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in a relevant discipline and minimum of two years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
