Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at our healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols and respond to incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
  • Perform a variety of preventative and reactive duties, including interior and exterior patrols, to ensure the security and safety of our facilities.
  • Provide security escort services to staff and visitors as requested.
  • Investigate and follow-up on incidents, write accurate reports, and maintain accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service.
Requirements
  • A valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Proficient in English (both oral and written).
  • A degree in Police Foundations, Protection Security and Investigations, Criminology, or Border Services.
  • Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (TPA), Mental Health Act of Ontario, Steps to Arrest, and Criminal Code - Section 494.
  • Proof of double Covid Vaccination.
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2).
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
