Job Title: Accounting Bookkeeper

Promises Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Bookkeeper to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, and perform various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Fast-paced environment
  • Overtime required
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Tight deadlines
  • Work under pressure
