Empathetic Listener and Support Group Facilitator

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic individual to fill the role of Peer Support Group Facilitator at Peek Law Group. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of care partners who are supporting loved ones living with dementia.
As a Peer Support Group Facilitator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their experiences and receive support from others who understand what they are going through. Your ability to listen actively and offer words of encouragement will be invaluable in helping care partners navigate this challenging journey.
This position involves facilitating regular peer support groups, which provide a platform for care partners to connect with one another, share insights, and learn coping strategies. You will work closely with a Family Support Coordinator and other trained volunteers to ensure that these groups run smoothly and effectively.
We estimate that the salary for this position will be around $**55,000 - $65,000 per year**, depending on factors such as location and level of experience. While this may vary, we strive to provide a competitive compensation package that reflects the importance of this role.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate regular peer support groups for care partners of individuals living with dementia
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for group members to share their experiences and feelings
- Work collaboratively with a Family Support Coordinator and other volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the groups
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations. It would be beneficial if you have experience working with vulnerable populations or in a similar support role.
