Strategic Communications Director for BC Public Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Communications Director to lead our team in crafting impactful communications that reflect the government's values and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Oversight of a talented team, fostering an inclusive and equitable environment where diverse perspectives drive innovative messaging.
- Skillful management of resources and navigation of sensitive contexts to ensure communications resonate with varied audiences while advancing core objectives.
- Maintenance of professionalism and upholding the highest standards of accuracy in all communications.
- Post-secondary education in communications and public relations, or professional designation (APR, CMP).
- Seven years' experience in progressively more responsible communications roles.
- Three years' experience in communications strategy planning, development, and implementation.
- Three years' experience in professional writing/communications product development.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- More than 7 years' experience in progressively more responsible communications roles.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $105,900.12 - $140,800.04 annually, flexible work options, and opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will be based at GCPE headquarters in Victoria and will have access to various benefits, including a comprehensive pension plan, extended health and dental coverage, and generous vacation time.
