Job Title: Welder Helper

Gill Welding And Trailer Repair Ltd. is seeking a skilled Welder Helper to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Welder Helper to assist our metal fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant, as well as assisting structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, and metal machine operators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Polish metal products to a mirror finish
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Organized and detail-oriented
