The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Dean to lead our Faculty of Social and Community Services. As a key member of the college's senior leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership over the administrative and academic priorities of the faculty.

You will be responsible for contributing to the further development of the faculty, its programs, industry partnerships, research, student success, and the teaching and learning environment. This includes ensuring the effective delivery of services and financial performance within the faculty, while conforming to all external accreditation and licensing requirements.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders, including faculty members, staff, students, industry partners, and community organizations, to advance the mission and goals of the college.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-graduate degree in a related field; PhD achieved or in progress is preferred;
  • Successful senior leadership experience in a post-secondary or similarly complex, multi-stakeholder organization, including experience in strategic planning, financial planning and management, external and government relations, fundraising, and individual and organizational development;
  • Experience operating within a collegial governance structure and unionized environment;
  • Knowledge, sensitivity, and an ability to embed equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into processes, practices, work culture, and curriculum, particularly Indigenous ways of being, knowing, and doing;
  • Experience developing and delivering on academic and operational plans;
  • The ability to develop and implement strategies to continuously generate vibrant and engaged communities across the faculty and campus;
  • A demonstrated commitment to ensuring academic excellence, and a passion for teaching, learning, and student success;
  • Familiarity with the Canadian college sector, including its regulations, accreditation standards, educational programs, and student demographics;
  • Commitment to recognizing and celebrating Indigenous cultures, histories, and knowledges in academic programming, events, professional development, and other initiatives.
About the Role

This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. The salary for this role is estimated at $167,524 - $209,405 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

The successful candidate will be based at the Lakeshore Campus, located at 3199 Lakeshore Blvd. West, Etobicoke, ON M8V 1K8.
