Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at Sewaks No-Frills. This is a permanent opportunity with 35-40 hours of work per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the activities of the HR department to ensure they meet the organization's goals.
  • Direct and control daily operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures, making informed decisions about resource allocation.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines, streamlining processes.
  • Manage training and development strategies, fostering employee growth and development.
  • Answer electronic enquiries, providing excellent customer service.
  • Compile data, statistics, and other information, analyzing trends and insights.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Advise senior management on key issues, offering strategic guidance and support.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Oversee payroll administration, handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems, keeping records accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field, promoting our brand and values.
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions, identifying top talent and building a strong team.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions.
  • A high level of attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
