Purpose:
The International Student Success Mentor plays a vital role in supporting the academic and personal success of international students at York University. This position involves providing peer support by sharing information and promoting programs and services that help students achieve their goals.

Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be enrolled as a York University student. Previous work experience, particularly in working with English as a Foreign Language learners or knowledge of international student needs, is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Communicate effectively with students to explain and share information about available resources and services.
2. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs and events that foster a sense of community among international students.
3. Build and maintain relationships with students, providing insight and suggestions to support their academic and personal success.
4. Plan and coordinate social activities, programs, and events that promote student engagement and well-being.
