Job Description

Overview:

The Senior Financial Strategist plays a pivotal role in overseeing accounting systems, budgeting, and internal controls for Talent-icit. Reporting directly to the CEO and functionally to the Corporate Controller, this individual ensures the integrity of financial transactions and provides accurate financial and operational information to inform company decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Oversight: Responsible for preparing and overseeing expense and capital budgets, cost control, and financial reporting. This includes ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Operational Leadership: Leads teams in accounting, finance, and payroll with a focus on fostering a culture of respect, transparency, and high performance. Sets annual objectives, evaluates staff, and implements performance metrics.
  • Risk and Compliance: Develops and maintains internal controls, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and enforces workplace policies on discrimination, harassment, and other labor regulations.
  • Systems and Processes: Oversees the implementation and maintenance of management information systems to support financial and operational performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Strategic Planning: Supports short- and long-term financial planning, collaborating on strategy development to optimize investment, capital management, and financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Director of Finance and Administration or Financial Controller, ideally within medium to large organizations.
  • CPA designation or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in managing the complete accounting cycle, budget management, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in integrated management software (ERP systems) is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
