Personal Support Worker/Guest Attendant

As a Guest Attendant at Aspira Carolina Retirement Living, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents. This part-time position requires a commitment of 4 shifts bi-weekly, including every other weekend, with 5-hour shifts. Your typical day will involve:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service.
  • Completing all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
  • Transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required.
  • Performing laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Dealing tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families, and reporting any concerns or complaints to the supervisor.
  • Practicing safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate.
