About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Staff Software Applications Engineer to join our team at Extreme Networks. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and implement scalable and secure software applications that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical requirements, writing clean, reusable, and scalable code, creating and reviewing technical documentation, and designing solutions that meet our customers' demands.

Requirements

We're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and at least 5-10 years of relevant experience. You should have advanced skills in backend development, including Docker, Kubernetes, and GlusterFS, as well as experience with algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented methodologies.

Preferred Skills

Experience with microservices-based architecture, messaging services like RabbitMQ and NATS, and API design using OpenAPI and GRPC is a plus. You should also be familiar with Agile development models, CI/CD, and Git environment. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are essential for this role.
