Mobile Product Strategy Leader

A Brief Overview of the RoleThe Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren't beholden to any shareholders — only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build, and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.
Key Responsibilities- Define the mobile product strategy for Firefox and Firefox Focus on iOS and Android.
- Clearly set the product priorities, balancing near-term initiatives with longer-term investments.
- Work across teams to ensure we have the right mobile product investments to deliver a phenomenal mobile browsing experience.
- Be a product evangelist, partnering closely with design and engineering leaders to simultaneously meet user and business needs.
- Reliably communicate strategies and trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development teams.
- Synthesize market changes and technology improvements into concrete product recommendations
- 10+ years of product management experience, including impactful leadership roles for major products
- Deep product experience with native-mobile applications with millions of users.
- Strong product sense and understanding of user problems
- Experience setting a portfolio approach to investments across products
- Excellent interpersonal skills, which include active listening and the ability to present complex ideas in concise written and verbal descriptions
- Experience working with external partners both in the U.S. and abroad in a product management role.
- Experience identifying customer and business problems, participating in the product vision, and writing clear/concise requirements with consideration for the end-to-end experience.
- Experience crafting strategies to differentiate a product in a crowded space.
