Electrical Project Manager Job Description

Smith + Andersen is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for leading electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate document control, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical project management, with a strong background in electrical engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct project teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including the provincial building code and electrical code.
