Sales Team Leader for Thrift Store

We are Prosper Immigration Inc., a Firm that provides Pro Bono Placement and Recruitment Services, as well as Licensed Immigration Services. Our Client and Employer is seeking a Sales Team Leader to oversee sales operations at our kid clothing and goods store in Toronto.

This leadership role requires exceptional supervisory and organizational skills to drive our team's success in providing exceptional customer experiences and contributing to our store's mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating sales staff and cashiers, ensuring efficient and customer-friendly operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate sales staff and cashiers to maintain excellent service quality.
  • Assign tasks and create work schedules for sales workers to optimize coverage and maximize productivity.
  • Authorize payments via cheque and manage merchandise returns according to established policies.
  • Engage with customers, showcasing merchandise, and fostering positive interactions to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Resolve challenges such as customer complaints and supply shortages to uphold service quality.
  • Maintain inventory levels of thrift store items by proactively initiating merchandise orders.
  • Prepare insightful reports on sales volumes, merchandise displays, and staffing matters to inform business decisions.
  • Contribute to the hiring process and provide training to new sales staff, aligning with our store's ethos and values.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and prior retail management experience are preferred.
  • Exceptional supervisory and organizational skills to lead and manage a sales team.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office suite to streamline operations.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities to resolve customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • A passion for thrift store culture and commitment to sustainable practices to enhance our brand reputation.
  • Excellent English and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • A willingness to relocate to support the growth of our store.
  • Only open work permit holders are eligible for this role.

Benefits

We offer competitive compensation, including an estimated annual salary of $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience. We also support the right candidate through the LMIA and Express Entry processes.
