Student Systems Integration and Special Projects Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Systems Integration and Special Projects Manager to join our team at the University of Waterloo. As a key member of our Student Life Communications department, you will play a critical leadership role in planning, developing, and managing integrated student systems and special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight and management of the UWaterloo Portal, ensuring it aligns with the APS and IST strategies.
- Lead and manage projects within the APS portfolio, from initiation to closure, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive community management strategy to engage students and enhance their experience.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current trends and best practices for communicating with and engaging student audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or diploma in program/project management.
- 5+ years of experience in a technology project or project management role, preferably in higher education.
- Experience in engaging internal and external stakeholders, building consensus, and managing competing priorities.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodology and web-based project management platforms.
- Advanced MS Office suite skills and intermediate experience with email marketing campaign and distribution platforms, web content management systems, and social media platforms.
