Job Overview

Amico Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Material Planning Team Lead to oversee the planning and coordination of materials. The ideal candidate will have experience working with SAP and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

This role involves leading the Materials Team, ensuring they operate effectively according to defined roles and expectations. It also involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to guarantee supply and delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to Planners, direction, and guidance as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management: Liaise with departments to attain production goals, understand materials and services to develop a supply plan, and support project scheduling activities.
  • Supply Chain Management: Analyze bills of material construction and changing material demand patterns, resolve material issues, and notify stakeholders.
  • Data Management: Maintain an accurate database of materials purchased and planned, ensure material master accuracy, and perform audits as necessary.
  • Reporting: Review sales forecasts with the management team and maintain the following reports: COGI REPORT, BOM VARIANCE MONITORING, COST/MARGIN MONITORING, CUSTOM PARTS INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, CYCLE COUNT/INVENTORY ADJUSTMENT REPORT, MATERIAL PLANNING REPORT, MATERIAL STATUS, and MONTHLY KPI REPORTS.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, or a related position; experience working with SAP is preferred.

  • Skill Set: Above average ability in Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to handle multiple tasks, ability to create and understand reports, exceptional attention to detail, ability to work independently and within a team environment, well-organized, proactive, and positive approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
