We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Thai Sechelt Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet high quality standards.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have prior experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 staff members, training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
- Prepare budget and cost estimates
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Prepare food order summaries for chef
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
- Establish work schedules
- Prior Supervisory Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- A competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
