Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Thai Sechelt Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that food and service meet high quality standards.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have prior experience in a supervisory role within a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of 5-10 staff members, training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, as well as estimating ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Prepare food order summaries for chef
  • Supervise and check assembly of trays
  • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys
  • Establish work schedules
Requirements
  • Prior Supervisory Experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
