About the Role


We are seeking an ambitious Service Project Sales professional to join our growing Saskatchewan Service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling projects to our existing clients, designing and estimating solutions that meet their business objectives, and developing long-term client relationships with Black & McDonald.



Your Key Responsibilities



  • Selling projects to existing clients and identifying new sales opportunities in commercial, retail, manufacturing, and institutional markets.
  • Developing personalized written proposals, including energy analysis and cost justifications, to meet client needs.
  • Maintaining and enhancing client relationships through ongoing business development and effective communication.
  • Qualifying opportunities, negotiating client needs, and gaining commitment.
  • Preparing estimates for various service offerings and customizing solutions adapted to customer needs.
  • Completing concise reporting of sales backlog, sales plan activity, and monthly results using Salesforce.
  • Supporting the service group and maintaining strong communications with technicians in the field.
  • Arranging for material purchasing and assisting in project scheduling, planning, and implementation.
  • Consulting and communicating with business partners, including suppliers, sub-contractors, utilities, and inspectors.
  • Possessing a desire for continued personal and professional development.


Requirements



  • A post-secondary degree or diploma from a Mechanical program or Technology program would be an asset.
  • Years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in the construction mechanical and/or HVAC industry may substitute for education requirements.
  • Experience in commercial and industrial mechanical systems, and/or in a technical occupation related to HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing would be considered an asset.
  • Previous sales and customer service experience would be considered an asset.
  • Estimating experience would be considered an asset.
  • Previous experience within the service business would be considered an asset.
  • Previous project management experience would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of mechanical HVAC, controls, piping, and related equipment.
  • Motivated and able to work with deadlines.
  • Organization and time management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).
