Business Development Strategist, Seaspan Shipyards

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Strategist to drive growth for Seaspan Shipyards.
About the Role:This full-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary in line with the successful candidate's experience and a best-in-class health and wellness benefits package. The estimated salary for this position is $169,800 - $203,800.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive Future Growth: Lead activities to find and develop opportunities both with new potential customers and with existing customers.
- Lead Capture Teams: Provide leadership to capture teams and proposal teams, building and leading capture teams and proposal teams as required for each approved opportunity.
- Maintain Key Contacts: Maintain key business development contacts with current and potential customers, providing strong communication skills (verbal and written) with customers, partners, suppliers, and within Seaspan.
- 7+ Years Experience: 7+ years of professional industry experience advancing complex new business development strategies and bid proposals in the shipbuilding industry or in a complex defence, aerospace, or systems development, manufacturing, or construction industry.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in government procurement markets, multi-faceted leadership skills applicable to direct leadership roles and influential leadership roles.
- Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of technical, programmatic, financial, and commercial aspects of complex deals, knowledge of complex government markets, and skilled at advocacy, influence, and persuasion.
