Job Summary:

Telecon is seeking a skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team. As an Aerial Lineman, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of telecommunication cables and apparatuses. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and the ability to work at heights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of telecommunication cables and apparatuses
  • Working at heights to place copper or fiber optic telecommunication cables
  • Climbing poles, ladders, and construction equipment to assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses
  • Stringing cables between structures, manholes, from poles, towers, or trenches and ensuring they are at proper tension
  • Accurately recording and reporting project progress to supervisory personnel

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or relevant experience
  • Valid Class 5 (with air brake certificates) or Class 3 (with air brakes certificates) driver's license
  • Minimum of 5 years of telecommunications line construction experience
  • Successful completion of Lineman schooling through a recognized institution
