Senior Business Development Consultant

As a Senior Business Development Consultant at Scotiabank, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with small business owners.
We are seeking an experienced professional who can connect with clients in a relatable way, providing exceptional service throughout their journey. The ideal candidate will have a results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation.
The focus will be on managing an assigned portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard. You will create a strong presence within the local business community by developing relationships with various Centres of Influence and partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment.

- Create a strong presence within the local business community by developing relationships with various Centres of Influence
- Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice enabling them to build successful businesses
- Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment
- A results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation
- Excellent business development techniques and conversant with small business legal structures and life cycles, competitor offerings, and alternate sources of financing
- Good organizational skills and flexible to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- A strong relationship builder and communicator, proficient at collaborating with others
- An education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
