About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Assistant to join our team at Alphabet Daycare South. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing engaging activities for school-age children.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants.
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children.
  • Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities, newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Will train.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
