About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Strategist to join our team at Nutrien. As a key member of our data services team, you will play a critical role in driving the global direction for technical data warehouse architecture and project solution architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop target data architectures that enable the Nutrien business architecture and drive data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.
  • Implement the target data architecture by identifying candidate architecture roadmap components based on gaps between the baseline and target data architectures.
  • Define overarching standards and patterns across the data warehouse solution lifecycle from development to sustainment.
  • Work with the larger architecture community, various business units, and development teams to manage the organization's data assets.
  • Mentor others on the team and in similar roles throughout the department.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree education at university level at a minimum.
  • 8+ years of combined experience delivering solutions and hands-on data roles in a large-scale, heterogeneous IT environment.
  • Technical experience in multiple technology domains and understanding of how that technology is used across multiple business functions, in multiple industries, to deliver business value.
  • Prior work experience working with technologies like SAP HANA, other databases and DWs, BI/reporting technologies, SAP, and/or other ERPs.
  • Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and previous experience in DW & BI environments.
  • Exposure to traditional data architecture frameworks (e.g., DMBOK) or certification (e.g., CDMP/CBIP) as well as broader Enterprise Architecture concepts and frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) desirable.

Nutrien offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $175,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
