Medical Oncology Expert

Seeking a Medical Oncologist with expertise in Early Phase Therapeutics and Clinical Genomics to join a multidisciplinary team in the management of patients with solid tumour malignancies at the University of Toronto and the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology at the University Health Network (UHN).
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the management of patients with solid tumour malignancies
- Conduct clinical, translational, or basic research
- Teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Engage in clinical genomics and early-phase clinical trials programs
- Develop and implement innovative treatment plans
- Collaborate with the clinical genomics and early-phase clinical trials programs
- Applicants must be a Medical Oncologist and be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Toronto
- The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team in the management of patients with solid tumour malignancies and will work in collaboration with the clinical genomics and early-phase clinical trials programs within a comprehensive cancer centre setting
- Additional responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and engaging in clinical, translational, or basic research
- Excellence will be assessed by the presence of scholarly contributions to teaching and education as evidenced by pedagogical innovation, curriculum development, experience in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, and teaching awards
- For Clinician Investigators, scholarly excellence will be assessed by the presence of research grants, publications in leading journals, invited presentations at significant conferences, awards, accolades, and other related accomplishments
- The applicant must also have or be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and hold MD and FRCPC qualifications and Medical Oncology (or equivalent) specialist designation
- Academic rank, salary, and contractual arrangements will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate
