Fabrication Specialist

We are Loadstar Trailers Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-quality trailers. We are currently seeking an experienced Fabrication Specialist to join our team.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications, operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications;
• Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment;
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal;
• Determine weldability of materials;
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment;
• Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products;
• Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Requirements:

• 5 years or more of experience in the field;
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination;
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
