About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team at HELP ME MOVE as a Furniture Mover Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products and materials from vehicles, warehouses, or other locations.
  • Product Movement: Move products and materials within our warehouse or to and from customer locations.
  • Weighing and Labeling: Weigh materials and goods, and apply labels as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our clients, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Pack and unpack goods, and prepare them for transportation or storage.
  • Transportation and Distribution: Transport and distribute materials and goods to and from our warehouse or customer locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: 30 hours per week.
  • Language of Work: English.
