About the Role

The Squamish Nation is seeking a highly skilled Developmental Consultant to join our Ayás Mén̓men Early Years & Youth Services Department. As an integral part of our team, you will provide family-centered services, early intervention, and child development support for children aged 0-19 with developmental delays or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with community childcare programs and child development professionals to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each child and family.
  • Provide training and education to childcare staff and families on early intervention and child development strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on child progress and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Combination of education and experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, patience, and integrity.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of trauma-informed, family-centered, and inclusive practice.
