Estimator Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Estimator for ICI Projects to join our dynamic team. As an integral part of our construction division, you will play a critical role in project planning and bidding processes, utilizing your expertise to deliver accurate estimates and drive business growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects valued at $3 million or more, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Tender Analysis: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop comprehensive estimates that meet client expectations.
  • Sourcing and Solicitation: Source and solicit pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, fostering strong relationships and securing competitive quotes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to refine estimates and address scope changes, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Market Research: Monitor market trends and maintain an up-to-date understanding of regional construction costs and industry best practices, driving informed decision-making.
  • Contract Negotiations: Participate in pre-construction meetings and assist in contract negotiations as needed, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in estimating for ICI projects, working with a general contractor.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
  • Familiarity with the London and KWC construction markets.
  • Strong proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A team player who communicates effectively and thrives in a collaborative environment.
