Job DescriptionOverviewAs the Information Security Architect, you will play a key role in advising the business and IT Operations on cybersecurity strategic planning. Your focus will be on security controls patterns and capabilities, ensuring the corporation's ability to attain its cybersecurity targets while maintaining a rationalized portfolio of security capabilities.
You will establish security capabilities and control patterns, as well as support the development of associated roadmaps that enable and maintain these capabilities and patterns.
Responsibilities- Cybersecurity Strategy Development: Design cybersecurity capabilities and security architecture patterns that address threats to our environment.
- Policies and Standards Alignment: Review cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks to ensure alignment with business and technology strategies.
- Cybersecurity Components Reuse: Facilitate the reuse of cybersecurity capabilities components and proven patterns.
- Architecture Runway Strategy: Participate in the strategy for building and maintaining the architectural runway via Enabler Epics.
- Strategic Communication: Understand and communicate Strategic Themes and other business drivers for security architecture to System Architects and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk Assessments: Assist with risk assessments to identify security gaps and recommendations to address them.
- Solution Governance: Govern the security components of the solution to ensure optimal solutions in terms of cost-effectiveness, scalability, security, and future positioning aligned with the organization's overall technology and security strategies.
- Documentation: Ensure technology solutions are documented according to the organization's policies and practices, including models and other architecture documents.
- Validation: Validate technology solutions prior to implementation to ensure alignment with corporate security standards and patterns.
- Team Collaboration: Assist Business Leaders & Business, Enterprise, System, and Data architects in accomplishing the overall objectives of Security Architecture.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Certification: SAFe Architect Certification or commitment to complete within 12 months.
- Experience: Seven years of experience in information security and technology covering a wide range of technologies and disciplines including three years as an architect and/or subject matter expert related to cyber/information security and five years of experience as an IT practitioner in areas related to cyber/information security.
