Movement Therapist

The successful candidate will possess the ability to perform ergonomic assessments, POETs, work hardening, and facilitate FCEs in a dynamic out-patient clinic setting. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with a team of clinicians and gain exposure to complex occupational rehabilitation cases.

1. Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the guidance of a physiotherapist
2. Design, implement, and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning, and/or work hardening programs
3. Conduct biweekly reassessments of client progress through functional testing
4. Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis
5. Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals
6. Conduct group orientation and education lectures, as well as regular one-on-one education sessions for clients
7. Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge
8. Evaluate return-to-work plans with clients and employers, ensuring they are documented in client charts

• Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program
• At least 2 years of experience (considered an asset)
• Registration with the relevant Provincial governing body for Kinesiologists is required
