The role of Tile Setter at KH Renovations
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team of professionals in the masonry industry. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing, applying and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using a hand trowel, and setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base.
Key responsibilities include aligning and straightening tiles, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout, and removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles.
This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a permanent contract, working 40 hours per week, and will be required to communicate in English.
