At Aecon Group Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Leadership professional to lead our BIM and digital construction efforts in Toronto, Ontario, and across Canada.

Job Overview:

  • We are looking for a leader who can manage BIM, GIS, and digital construction across various project disciplines.
  • The successful candidate will provide leadership, support, and coordination across technical work streams.
  • They will ensure the delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with our IDD BIM-related processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall accountability for enabling BIM, GIS, and digital construction across project disciplines.
  • Provide leadership, support, and coordination across all technical work streams.
  • Ensure delivery of BIM and GIS in accordance with Aecon's IDD BIM related processes and procedures.
  • Ensure the right resourcing profile for the IDD team.
  • Manage the link between the Client's BIM representatives, the consultant BIM team, Aecon, and any sub-contractors' BIM team.
  • Ensure BIM requirements support digital integration across all project functions.
  • Validate information models in accordance with ISO 19650 and the Institute for BIM in Canada toolkit.

Requirements:

  • An engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in large infrastructure BIM implementation.
  • Knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650/Institute of BIM in Canada).
  • Experience with model federation platforms and Common Data Environments.
  • A detailed understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc.
  • A working knowledge of EHS regulations.
  • Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle.
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-first attitude.
  • Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision.

  • A competitive salary range of $110,000 to $125,000 per annum.
  • A 37.5-hour workweek.

Work Environment:
