At Black & McDonald, we're seeking a skilled Financial Billing Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our entire billing process. From analyzing service details to managing customer accounts and revenue collection, you'll play a vital part in driving our business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze work orders, service agreements, and labor/material costs to create accurate and compliant invoices for various trade services.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of customer contracts and pricing models to ensure billing reflects agreed-upon rates.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of invoices for accuracy and completeness before release.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, liaising with internal teams and customers to achieve efficient resolution.
  • Manage customer accounts, including processing payments, handling inquiries, and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Generate comprehensive reports on billing activity, revenue trends, and customer payment history.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline billing operations and maximize efficiency.
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accurate financial records.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a financial billing or analytical role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and billing procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Proficient in accounting software Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced, and changing environment.
